Goofy Asians is doing an articles series called “Stuff Goofy Asians Like”. Similar to this website, but on a more extreme goofy level, these articles will feature some of the things which Goofy Asians like…and who better to describe this then us!

If you’ve been with us for a while, then surely you will know how random we all are, and especially on the forums lol (There’s even a “Random Thoughts” thread)! One day we may be giving our take on a serious matter, and the next day we’ll be talking about some random cartoon we found while procrastinating!

I guess being random is essentially what a Goofy Asian is all about. I can’t tell you how many times when I’m talking to people and get the “wtf” after I go off on a tangent…bad part is I do it without even noticing! This randomness is the root of our beings and characteristics, like procrastination, stem off from it.

Being random is at the core of nearly every Goofy Asian. Even when you’re by yourself and you are doing this, or working on that…your mind will wonder. You end up doing something completely out there! You know you are a Goofy Asian if this happens ALOT to you, lol. You can try to dilute this randomness to your friends,family,etc…but eventually it will come out! You can even catch Asian celebrities coming out. For example, check out Utada Hikaru’s blog (english translation of blog posts here). It’s chock full of randomness that even amazes me! Who would’ve thought Utada was such a Goofy Asian!:D

When Goofy Asians get together, you can be sure that there’s going to be some offbeat times and/or discussions to be had. This can happen at any moment too (Personal examples below, LOL):

1. We’re on the street, and randomly start to mess with each other, playing the “I walk in front of you and stop abruptly, causing to you bump into me” game.
2. We’re eating out and one of us starts to bark at her food.
3. We’re playing Halo 3 and one of us shouts “CHICKEN LOTION” when he get most kills.
4. During those quiet times, if we are on the internet, we randomly hit each other with links to random stuff.
5. We text message each other things that come completely out of nowhere.

Do you have to be a Goofy Asian to be random? Of course not…many people are random, I mean, it’s what we all do when we are bored. I’d like to think that we take it to another level though. Can you not be random and still be a Goofy Asian however? That’s highly a “no”. It’s like a cheeseburger without the meat…and cheese.
