Hey Everyone! How yall doing?
Just a thought that I thought up just now. I was looking through this site called, Myspace, and I was looking through my friends list. It never really occured to me before, but yeah out of 265 friends I have or are friends with through this site, about 240 of them are “asians”.. Does that makes me a racist? What are your point[s] on this?
I dont feel racists. I love all types of people, although i love to make fun of stereotypes. [Collaboration of C & R of Stereotypes coming soon!!!!] LOL yeah im horrible. but WOW.. I’m one goofy asian.

I don’t use MySpace or Facebook…but out of all my AIM buddies, 80% are Asian. On MSN, 100%, LOL!
Hmmm…I too like all types of people, but after looking at the statistics, maybe I am somewhat “naturally” inclined to Asian people due to obvious reasons.
Does this make me racist? Well, after thinking about it…sure, it appears so a little, but on the other hand, I don’t target adding people based solely on race. I add buddies more on what we have in common in terms of hobbies, etc.
BUT…what if these hobbies are related only mostly to Asians…hmmm…LoL, makes me wonder!

I don’t believe it makes you a racist. A lot of races tend to associate with their own race. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just a group of people you can associate with for certain reasons and you feel comfortable with them. I think most people stay close to people within their own race due to the comfort zone.

To add onto my last thought on my previous reply, I think people inherently discriminatory, yet aren’t necessarily racist.

what about white people who have mostly white friends?
or black people who only have mostly black friends?
sometimes they are …discriminatory, maybe not necessarily racist.. either way, ususally your friends are a product of your environment. what hobbies you take up, what events and activities you attend/do… its bound to happen!
personally, ive learned this year that its much easier to relate to asians, or even more specifically, koreans, just cuz the way we are is different (even if its slightly) from other races. i didn’t really understand this concept, but its true- the things we find funny, the way we talk, the way we interact with other people isn’t the same. just an example– earlier tonight i was at a concert (mostly koreans in attendance) and our emcee was making jokes and stuff that i realized would be weird or not that funny to white people, but the audience was seriously cracking up.
