Today I will be reviewing the Deluxe Mini Fridge (as well as warmer) offered by ThinkGeek. This neat little device really deserves the word “Deluxe” in its name. Not extremely bulky (12.5” x 13.5” x 17.5”) nor heavy (15 lbs), you will have no problem fitting it in your office…but you may have some problems if you were to put it in your car. Here are some action shots of the fridge in my office:

Let’s start with the external features. Probably the most prominent feature of the Deluxe Mini Fridge would be the LCD display which shows the temperature inside. Now you’ll never have to guess what temperature it is inside (if you ever did to begin with)! There are lit buttons alongside the LCD display that control various things, such as turning the temperature down, turning the temperature up, turning the inside light on/off, power on/off. Another smart feature is the handle at the top of the fridge. This allows even easier transport of the fridge from places. The door handle is well designed also. It has a sturdy feel to it. A large plexiglass window is fitted in the center of the door to let you see what’s inside.

The Deluxe Mini Fridge features a sliding-out tray that you can adjust to three different levels. This is nice as to when you need to fit taller things into the fridge. I was able to fit a complete loaf of bread, a 2-liter bottle, and more! The light inside is bright enough to serve its purpose to illuminate your food items
.
Priced at around $100 at think geek, it won’t necessarily empty your wallet, but you probably should consider it before paying 100 dollars for a mini fridge. For me, I could justify it…cold beverages and snacks at my fingertips, as well as never having to use the office refrigerator ever again and bumping into the weird guy at work!
