During the opening ceremony, she had one cheek painted with the flag of China and on the other was the flag of the U.S. She is Wang Chen, born and raised in Beijing, now representing America for the 2008 Olympics in table tennis.

Ok, so instead of criticizing China about putting Lin Miaoke on the stage to lip sync, I want to showcase some information I found around the web about the real voice behind the opening ceremony, Yang Peiyi:

Why haven’t I heard of this guy earlier. The Japanese Edison, Yoshiro Nakamatsu (aka Dr. NakaMats) claims to hold over 3,000 inventions! He’s been on several American television shows and is considered a national hero in Japan. On Wikipedia, it lists some of his inventions:

I have to say that out of many artists out there that I enjoy listening to, Hamasaki Ayumi, also known as Ayu, is a singer I highly respect and enjoy listening to.
